This is a classic Ristretto made from Arabica and Robusta beans from the Indian state of Karnataka.
As is always the case with Nespresso coffee, nothing has been left to chance. First of all, the beans are hand-picked, ensuring that only the best beans are harvested. Secondly, the husks of the Arabica beans are removed immediately after harvesting using the technique known as 'washing', while the Robusta beans are dried with the husk intact. The final step in the process involves lightly roasting the Arabica beans, while the Robusta beans are dark-roasted.
The result is a complex coffee with a rich and aromatic flavour that reflects both types of bean, the roasting process and, not least, the origins from Indian all in one cup, with both floral notes and intense spice notes of cloves, nutmeg and pepper.
And you get all this in one cup with the intensity that only a Ristretto can deliver.
