Description

Jacobs Monarch is a coffee made from medium-roasted Arabica beans, slightly at the higher end of the strength scale. There is no doubting the flavour of coffee in this cup, but the intensity is never too much. The taste profile is classic Arabica, aromatic with fruity notes, a soft body and low bitterness.

It is quick and easy to brew in your Tassimo machine, which recognises your pod thanks to the smart Intellibrew technology, and knows exactly what temperature, time and amount of water is needed according to the pod's specifications.

To me this has the appearance and taste of an average instant coffee from a jar. Watery with little flavour. Perhaps it’s just a bad batch?
I did consider that my machine was playing about but my wife’s Cafe Hag just before this was absolutely fine. I threw my Monarch down the sink and with high hopes made another, it was exactly the same. I made a Friele instead and that was perfect.
